The Great Escape to Bicol Part II

My vacation leave was, ummm, awesome even though it rained on November 15th, which is the second day of my stay in Bicol. Although, I never had the chance to visit the Butandings (whale sharks)  in Donsol, Sorsogon because of the unpredictable weather, still , I had fun with my cousins. Here are the photos taken during my four-day vacation leave (includes my off):

The majestic Mayon Volcano in Albay. The first thing that I did when I reached Albay is to take photo of this volcano. Derived from the word "Magayon" which means beautiful in Bicol, Mayon Volcano is considered as one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Also, it has been nominated in the 2011 search for the New Seven Wonders of Nature.

Rizal Beach Resort in Rizal, Gubat, Sorsogon is one of the most visited beaches in Sorsogon City. Even myself is a witness to its unexplored beauty. The beach has white sand similar to Boracay and it offers an unforgettable summer experience which you may have probably dreamed of.

It's kinda dimmy. I went to beach at around 7 in the morning and it's a good thing it's not too hot - which is perfect for swimming. It's high tide when I reached the place but I had an awesome "seaexperiement" (sea and experiement combined).

At Rizal Beach Resort. Entrace fee here is Php15.00 which is relatively low compared with other beaches but definitely you will enjoy your stay at this veranda. Enjoy and explore the beauty of the sea!

Morning Madness. I took this phot at 5:25 in the morning. The moon is still up, and the coconuts are, oohhh I just realized, lovely in the morning.

This is what we call "pungko" which literally means "small hill." This used to be my playground when I was a kid, and it's nice to see it again. Shown in the photo are small coconuts.

Me at the "pungko". Well, it's nice to be back home, and reminisce the past which will be part of who I am and what I am today. Ohh, I won't forget those old days when my "lolo" got us fresh "bukos" and we ate them here. Oh, that was adventure!

One of the things that I didn't learn in my childhood days is "how to climb a coconut tree". (Forgive the word "tree")But, anyways, it won't matter at all. We have "kawit" - directly translates to "panungkit" in Filipino - and it's absolutely a great help for me. Lol!

Mouth-watering, yummylicious freshly opened buko. Tastes really awesome! Ohh, what an amazing wonders on nature! Fresh bukos in Bicol are incomparable!

Silver Star! I left Sorsogon at 5:45 in the afternoon! I rode an air-conditioned Silver Star bus for a minimal fee of Php750.00 - from Sorsogon to Cubao/Pasay!
